the web. The budget-friendly, colorful smartphone will cost CNY 999
(about $160) online.

The increased price will cover the costs associated with running a physical retail store such as rent, staff payroll, and product logistics among others. With such measures in place, it is clear that Meizu doesn’t make much money from selling those devices.
