The Spain international, whose first-team role at the Camp Nou suffered last season following the arrival of Luis Suarez, does not want to spend another season playing as a peripheral figure and has informed the club of his desire to leave for Old Trafford.
United are in talks with Barca over a deal to sign Pedro, and Marca report the European champions will agree to sell the winger for €30million (£21.2million).
Barcelona and Manchester United are both in the USA at the moment – they will face in each other in a friendly at the weekend – and that could speed up the process of the negotiations.
