Coquelin has developed into a key player for the Gunners since returning from a short loan spell at Charlton Athletic, and has played in all five of the club’s Premier League games in 2015-16.
Coquelin was again in fine form as Arsenal defeated Stoke City 2-0 at the Emirates on Saturday, and Cazorla has lavished praise on the 24-year-old.
"He’s helped me a lot,” he told Arsenal’s official website. “He plays well, he defends well and I think he’s one of the best players in this position.
“We are lucky because he plays for Arsenal and I enjoy it a lot with him in this position.”
Cazorla has also featured in all of the club’s games thus far this campaign – providing an assist against Stoke – and he believes he is close to recapturing his finest form.
“I feel better every game. The most important thing for me is always to help the team,” he added.
“I had an assist for Giroud and I had so many chances to score but the keeper made good saves.
“I feel good and I always want to help the team, that’s the most important thing for me.”
