Today Lenovo has announced a new convertible laptop. It's called the Yoga 900, and it has a 13.3-inch 3,200x1,800 IPS touchscreen with 300-nit brightness, Intel's 6th generation Core processors (up to a Core i7), up to 16GB of LP-DDR3L RAM, a 1 MP 720p CMOS camera, up to a 512GB Samsung SSD, JBL stereo speakers, 2x2 Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB Type-A 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C 3.0 port with video out, a 4-in-1 card reader, an audio combo jack, and a weight that starts at just 1.29kg.
Its dimensions are 324 x 225 x 14.9 mm, and it runs Windows 10 Home. The 66WHr battery is rated for up to 9 hours of continuous video playback at 200 nits, and up to 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing at the same brightness setting. This being a convertible, you can use it in four different ways, which Lenovo calls "laptop", "tablet", "tent", and "stand". The first two are self-explanatory, the "tent" form factor can be seen in the image below, while in "stand" mode the keyboard bit acts as a stand for the touchscreen part.
Lenovo boasts that this is the world's thinnest convertible to feature an Intel Core i processor. The Yoga 900 will be offered in Champagne Gold, Clementine Orange, and Platinum Silver color versions. It will start at $1,199.
