Screenshots of the upcoming Huawei EmotionUI 3.0 have surfaced online. The latest version of the custom user interface is running on the company's upcoming flagship codenamed Glory 6. Huawei confirmed that it is preparing an Android KitKat 4.4.2 update for its high end devices. It'll also give them a new paintjob in the form of EmotionUI 3.0. The screenshots show that Huawei is embracing a new icon set that reminds us of MIUI. The choose of typography and visual elements indicates a more cleaner and streamlined approach to Huawei's upcoming user interface. Additionally, we also received a few more screenshots straight from Huawei. It'll feature more unified design through the use of circles in many places of the UI. As for the Huawei Glory 6, it looks quite a lot like the upcoming Huawei Ascend D7 (or Mate 7) that the company is anticipated to announce at IFA 2014 on September 4. However, it's unlikely that this is the phone in question, as the rumors suggest a QHD display and here, the Glory 6 is shown to pack a full HD resolution screen. It also packs the company's Hisilicon Kirin chipset with an octa-core CPU (quad Cortex A15 and quad Cortex A7) as well as 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. In any case, the Glory 6 is going to feature interesting bezels that are going to be touch sensitive. In the video below, you can see that tapping the top right corner acts as a shortcut for taking a photo. We'll know more when the company is ready to fully unveil the update, which is expected to roll out in September. Source |...
