Less than three weeks remain until the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is unveiled at IFA and Samsung is already ramping up advertising efforts for the new phablet. A dedicated page on Samsung's official site has a sappy ad that mostly features the Galaxy Note 3 but the last few seconds of the video remind us to expect the Note 4. Samsung has also posted about the ad on Weibo announcing a contest that can net you Galaxy Note 3 (that's right, 3 not 4). The conditions of the contest are a little unclear, our Chinese is rusty, but only people from China can apply anyway. Samsung Galaxy Note ad Samsung seems to concentrate on China heavily - we haven't seen Note 4 ads in the west yet. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 ads around Beijing The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have a 5.7" QHD screen (Super AMOLED, naturally), a Snapdragon 805 or an Exynos 5 Octa chipset (perhaps with Cortex-A53/57 not A7/A15) and a 16MP camera with OIS. An early price listing pins the cost of a Note 4 at 600 ($800). Source 1 Source 2 (in Chinese) |...
