Manchester City are set to make a new offer of £40m plus £5m in add ons for Raheem Sterling this weekend with Liverpool almost certain to reject it, according to the Telegraph.
The bid falls short of Liverpool's £50m valuation and they still expect Sterling to report for their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia on Sunday.
The Telegraph also report that Gary McAllister is set to be named as Liverpool's new first team coach.
